"Your art is improving"

Hey buuddddy! I like what you've done here, you've taken your old style and remixed it into your own, something i respect you for ;)

If there's one thing i notice with your animation, its that you're working with two's at 24 fps. I know this is a personal preference with animators, but might i recommend switching to two's with 30 fps?

Working with two's at 24 is like working on one's at 12 fps, and we all know that 12 fps looks choppy. Suffice to say, this video, while the animation was good, did look a bit choppy. Were you to up your framerate to 30, it would be like drawing one's at 15 FPS which looks a lot crisper and smoother.

This is just my personal opinion though, i hope it provided some insight.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Guess it was worth taking that year break from animating to practice drawing.

And, nah, I'm actually working on four's in most cases (I KNOW, I KNOW). With three weeks and wanting to put out the most realistic animation that I can, I had to sacrifice the smoothness/frame rate. I was planning to go back later if I finished before the deadline, but well.

I'd totally do 30 fps, but the standard is 24 fps and I want to get as comfortable with the norm as I can (if that makes sense). Thanks for the tips, though!

"Stunning :D"

date: September 21, 2009

I downloaded it when you submitted and then realized now "Hey! I didn't write a review yet!"

So..here's my epic review ;)

Im lovin the piano dude! I'm bad with reviewing stuff but yeah, it definetly has a feel to it like all of your music! You put your soul and emotion into your work rather than just spamming some crappy offbeat techno!

And that there was my epic review!

Author's Response:

Yes! This review is of epic proportions, truely!

lol, thanks for your review. I appreciate it, and I'm glad you enjoyed the piece, Duchednier.
