Hey all! You know how with many's a flash artist they submit stuff up until high school and then college/uni rolls around and instantly its *im dropping newgrounds for now*, yeah, i just had to contemplate that O.o

In the last 2 weeks, i have had maybe 2 hours of free time for animation, college is keeping me uuuber busy.

Also over the summer there was a massive power of 3 project that i undertook which never made it because of my coder and musicians being lazy ass people (getting me to pull all nighters for art for 3 weeks and then saying "yeah were out") has also stunted the growth of Exile: Chapter 4.

I'm gonna keep trying to get stuff done, but hopefully i'll be able to pump out a new patchman AND chapter 4 of Exile this christmas break, where i get a good month of free time to myself. Also my new summer breaks are like 4 months long, so that'll help out too.

This will probably be one of the last screenshots i show before Chapter 4 comes out, so savor it! Ray in his green-fetish armor overlooking an uncoloured Ossic city, aaaand something in the sky? :O

Hey guys! I'm here with a formal update to let people know whats going down lately with me and my animations.

Due to the power of 3 game, both Exile and Patchman were put on hold during the summer. The Po3 game itself will not be finished in time, but i've been talking with Tom and were just going to submit the game whenever we finish. It will probably be closer to christmas ;) (we overshot how we had to make the game..so its a HUGE game and we didn't have enough time to finish, oh well right?)

So i've been motoring along Exile for the past week and a half now and i'm making quite some progress. From what i'm able to tell, the chapter will be about 8 to 9 minutes long, add another minute for creds ;) Its also taking a long time to animate because there is lots of action in this one. School starts on Monday for me as well, so depending on how much homework and stuff that i get, i may be able to finish within the next month to 2 months. We'll see though.

Some big updates for the series itself is that Morgan King will no longer be making the music. In his place Andrew Yablonski and ObsidianSnow will be taking over. These guys have a significantly different style of music than Morgan does, so we'll see how this affects the mood of the series.

Another big update for the series is that Andy Koenig has told me he no longer has the time to play the voice of Luke, so in his place Biffthetimid is taking over.

As for Patchman, I've decided to put Exile 4 ahead of it on the release schedual, as i feel that i've put off Exile long enough, and i apologize for that. After 4 is out, i can quickly whip up Patch2 in a week or so.

But basically, i'm working on an action sequence in exile 4, and as you may be able to tell in past episodes, exile is very action-oriented. If anyone has any tips for making sexy fight scenes i'd love to hear them :)

so for about a month and a half i've been thinking "hmmm..i need to make a new post" but i have absolutely nothing to say!

Therefor i'm here to tell you all the following:

Exile 4 looks brilliant, i know i said summer release, and it could've been out by now except i've been pulling 4am every day working on Power of 3 :P So Exile is being put off until after summer. Sorry.

The following applies to Patchman 2, I've got some general stuff done, but i'm still crazy busy with Power of 3.

So the big news then, the game that I'm making for Power of 3 is going to be BIG. I really don't want to give away anything yet though, but i'll share some fun news:

We've been through 3 Programmers so far, but our latest guy is doing a fantastic job! We have an engine in now and we have 1 playable character (out of 4). They all play differently mind you ;)

so there's a promo shot below. Yeah that's right, Tom gave us rights to use these sexy characters ;) We in turn went and wrapped a sexy story around it.

Lastly, I'm almost 100% sure that there's no local fans checkin this out, but in the off-chance that there is. I'm going to be at Manitoba's anime convention "AiKon" for the following weekend. I'll be at the artist tables selling the 4 pics from my NG art selection, as well as a few numerous pictures off my deviantArt
Perhaps i'll see someone there? Maybe? Yeah probably not, it'd still be cool though :P

Remember a week ago how i was leaving for a week to compete for the best of canada's high school flash animators? Well we won!

So about a month ago I went to a provincial Flash animating competition in which i faced off against some hefty opponents . . . that all had the abilities of avg. stuff that get blammed in the portal. it was actually king of upsetting that i was the only one there that actually knew how to use flash :/ regardless i won gold easily so tomorrow evening! I'm going to the nationals (for canada) In P.E.I (a small province on the east coast). Free plane ride FTW!

I've watched last years nationals video. . . its about the same quality as the provincials, im hoping that there will be some form of competition, like a fellow newgrounder :P but if not then I guess i'll have to hope the same at the worlds ;)

For those who are wondering, the competition is called "Skills" (Skills manitoba, skills canada etc). They have over a hundred competitions within 2 days, some for 2d/3d animation, then there's some making robotics, building stuff, i dunno . . . yeah!

Next year, do a search for Skills in your area to get involved so that the flash products that they show off aren't sub par as per usual! D=<

Lastly: Tomorrow is my birthday! I turn 18 and am going to a province where the drinking age goes to 19 for a week. What a jip!

So i've been back for over a week now but i couldn't really get on the computer, like at all, allow me to story:

College art portfolio had to be completed, it was literally a week of drawing and arting D: BUT I FINISHED! And now today I AM FREEEE!!!

Japan was fantastic, I deff wanna go back soon. I think i'm going to try and upload many of them onto my website but if that doesn't work then i'll just.. post one.. here... to prove i was there idk..

OH DEAR LORD! McDonalds in japan has this epic fantastic "Green tea oreo mcflurry" its like.. the best mcflurry ever... we had one like every day.

I could go on for hours about japan but theres other stuff i must get to! Like Skills canada! I went to an animating competition (4 hours of nonstop flash animating) and won gold! Im going to the coast (Prince edward island) of Canada for nationals next month ON MY BIRTHDAY. which is a pretty sweet birthday present if you ask me.
. . does that make me the best flash animator in my province? Its a nice thought :P

Also, i've had to be off of Exiling for the last month due to (if you've been keeping up then you know...) lots of stuff, but today can set me back on track and i'm going to work my ass off to get chapter 4 out!
